Gem
County - Shadow Butte Industrial Park
The
Shadow Butte Industrial Park project is an industrial/commercial
subdivision being constructed in Gem County. This project consists
of over 2000 lineal feet of water line, 2000+ lineal feet of gravity
sewer line, a regional sewer lift station, 11690 lineal feet of
pressure sewer line, two municipal water wells, a steel bolted
water reservoir, a booster station, accessory structures, and
highway widening. This project is being funded by multiple sources
including EDA and the State of Idaho. The water system will be
a stand alone municipal system with capacity to accommodate fire
flows. The sewer system was designed to accommodate expansion
in this area. Coordination between the County and the City of
Emmett has been instrumental to the success of this project. The
pressure sewer will be connected to the head works of the existing
City of Emmett wastewater treatment plant and will be contained
within ITD right-of-way, Gem County right-of-way, and City of
Emmett right-of-way. Coordination between Idaho Transportation
Department and the Army Corps of Engineers has been vital due
to the project's impact to the adjacent Highway 52 and the existing
wetlands.
