City of Council, ID, On-Site Liquid Sodium Hypochlorite Generation System

This project was funded utilizing City funds. The project included design and installation of an on-site liquid sodium hypochlorite generation system. The system was installed at the City's WWTF. The system replaced the City's existing gas chlorination system. It allows the City to safely and effectively meet discharge permit disinfection requirements at the treatment facility.

2002 Water System Improvements Project, Burns, Oregon

Well #6 Arsenic Removal Pilot Study, Fruitland, Idaho

This project was one of several EPA Arsenic demonstration projects funded across the United States to demonstrate treatment technology to comply with 2006 Arsenic Drinking Water Standards. Holladay Engineering has acted as liaison between the City and the EPA-consultants installing the treatment equipment. The project has also involved construction of a water source and building. Projected Project Completion Date: 2005.

Gem County - Shadow Butte Industrial Park

The Shadow Butte Industrial Park project is an industrial/commercial subdivision being constructed in Gem County. This project consists of over 2000 lineal feet of water line, 2000+ lineal feet of gravity sewer line, a regional sewer lift station, 11690 lineal feet of pressure sewer line, two municipal water wells, a steel bolted water reservoir, a booster station, accessory structures, and highway widening. This project is being funded by multiple sources including EDA and the State of Idaho. The water system will be a stand alone municipal system with capacity to accommodate fire flows. The sewer system was designed to accommodate expansion in this area. Coordination between the County and the City of Emmett has been instrumental to the success of this project. The pressure sewer will be connected to the head works of the existing City of Emmett wastewater treatment plant and will be contained within ITD right-of-way, Gem County right-of-way, and City of Emmett right-of-way. Coordination between Idaho Transportation Department and the Army Corps of Engineers has been vital due to the project's impact to the adjacent Highway 52 and the existing wetlands.

City of Vale, OR - Arsenic Removal Pilot Study

This project was an EPA Arsenic demonstration project that was funded to demonstrate treatment technology to comply with 2006 Arsenic Drinking Water Standards. Holladay Engineering has acted as liaison between the City and the EPA-consultants installing the treatment equipment. The project is currently underway and involves construction of an evaporative basin for the system's brine waste treatment. A treatment building was also added on to the existing well house to house the ion exchange equipment. The arsenic removal project involves the entire water system for the City of Vale.
