Doug
Argo, P.E. is a registered professional engineer in Idaho,
Oregon, Washington, and Utah, and he is presently the City Engineer for
Payette, Idaho. Doug's specialty is geotechnical engineering, and he began
his career as a geotechnical consultant in 1987. He has been the project
leader for more than 400 projects in Idaho, Washington, Montana, Oregon,
and Wyoming. He has worked on transportation, municipal, commercial, and
industrial projects. The scopes of work on these projects have ranged
from designing only the geotechnical aspects of the project to being responsible
for the overall design. Geotechnical experience includes all aspects of
site investigations, permanent and temporary shoring and retaining systems,
landslide stabilization, foundation engineering (deep and shallow), seismic
design, soft soil mitigation, pavement design, and earth dam design.
